“Randy was professional and thorough. His price was unbeatable. Even though our builder recommended against an additional inspection on our home (claiming it was unnecessary on a brand-new house), we are SO glad we hired Randy to come out. He found several things that needed to be repaired and will save us the headache and expense of needing to have them repaired in the future. We appreciate his work and would use Randy again.” — Susan A., Lake Dallas
While some Dallas home inspectors think that pointing out flaws in the house is all that you are paying them for, I will help you understand the bad and good facets of the house, help you to understand and prioritize the findings, and teach you how to maintain your home after you move in.
I aim to give you superior CUSTOMER SERVICE from your very first phone call. Feel free to call me anytime . I’m happy to answer questions for you, whether you’ve hired me yet or not.
“Randy was very professional, informative and just what we needed. He communicated with us all the way from our first conversation to the end of the inspection. He was willing to inspect the home on a holiday weekend. His price was highly competitive and he gave us great tips about everything.” — Tom B., Richardson
“Randy is very personable, professional, informed and honest.” — Sandra G., Azle

“We are first time home buyers and Randy came out to do a general inspection. He was very informative and a delight to contract out. He greeted us with a smile and warm handshake, something you don’t see these days. Randy was very informative and took the time to show us the present concerns and possibly future ones if we expect to maintain our home. He explained how to prevent maintenance issues by investing back into the home affordably. He arrived on time and respected the fact this was a home and not just a job needing to be done. Thx again Randy!“ — Jeanie W., Fort Worth
“Thanks Randy! This is a new and overwhelming experience for me. I appreciate your patience and professionalism.” — Byron H., Little Elm

SCHEDULING
I know that your schedule is very hectic, so I work hard to accommodate you.
Because not everyone can attend the inspection during the week, I also inspect into the evenings and on Sundays (Sorry…no Saturdays). My Sunday inspection schedule is sometimes limited, so please let me know as soon as possible that you need a Sunday inspection. I’ll do my best to accommodate you.
“I would recommend Cornerstone to my friends. Randy was great, he was on time, very polite and worked with me on scheduling. He spent the time to explain each part and step in the process which was great. His recap was easy to read and understand included pictures and detailed descriptions of all points of interest. He also set us up with a Recall Chek report at no extra charge so we will get updates on our appliances if they have any recalls.” — Victor E., Frisco
BALANCED APPROACH
Learning about the house you are buying shouldn’t be just about finding out its faults. No home is perfect. I search for and report on everything that I am expected to, of course. But the primary focus should be on things that matter, particularly safety hazards, legal issues, and problems that are serious and potentially expensive to repair. I also try to suggest solutions to those problems. I help keep things in perspective with an unbiased view of the facts – including the good ones.
AT THE END OF THE HOME INSPECTION
Don’t worry if you can’t attend the home inspection, or can only be there for part of it. I allow time to go over the whole report in person with you at the end of the inspection. That way, you miss all the tedious repetition and the dangerous parts of the home inspection, but you get the educational benefit.
“Randy was extremely detailed in his findings. He explained the consequences of not addressing the concerns. He even took me around the house to show what areas he was referring to. The fact that he said he’d be available to answer any questions I may have in the future, was comforting.” — Pam L., Keller
“Randy was very professional and thorough. He answered all our questions and made buying a house much easier.” — E. J., Euless
HOME INSPECTION REPORT
Your home inspection report will be easily understandable, in plain English. I’m not here to impress you with jargon. I want you to understand the condition of your house and how to maintain it. (And if there is anything you don’t understand, you can either call me or look it up in my home inspection glossary.)
Your report will be color-coded by priority, contain plenty of digital pictures to enhance understanding, include 3 pages of home maintenance advice, and a life expectancy chart. And while many home inspectors in the DFW area use a checklist-type report, your home inspection report will be written in a descriptive, narrative style. It will describe…
• WHAT the problem is,
• WHERE to find it,
• WHY it needs to be repaired or corrected, and either
• HOW it should be corrected, or
• WHO you should contact to get it repaired.
Your home inspection report will be delivered to you the same day via email. (There are rare instances in which a difficult inspection done late in the day may delay completion of the report to the following day.)
CAUTION: Beware of Dallas and Fort Worth home inspectors who (a) urge you to attend the home inspection AND (b) boast of providing your home inspection report onsite at the end of the home inspection. It is difficult to imagine that a thorough home inspection AND a detailed home inspection report can be completed in such a limited time frame, all while educating you about the house!
“INSPECTOR FOR LIFE”
I want to be your “Inspector For Life”, also. What that means is that, as long as you own the home I inspect for you, I am always available to you to answer questions and give advice at no extra charge.
